The Living Daylights is a side-scrolling action game which features eight levels of gameplay, centered around the Timothy Dalton movie of the same name. Beginning with a "training" mission in Gibraltar, Bond then assists General Koskov's defection to the West, rescues a Bond girl, fights off henchmen, and takes on an evil weapons dealer.

Bond can run, duck, jump and use weapons created by Q (including the Ghetto Blaster) and take out enemies with his trusted Walther PPK.

Dear Bond,
Welcome back to the service, James. A am most pleased to see you working with us again. We have a very special assignment lined up for you. It will require you to use all your special skills. It needs that delicate blend of skill, finesse, diplomacy and brute force that only you can bring. You are the only agent left in the service capable of performing this vital task.
In what may well prove to be your toughest assignment yet, you are to arrange the defection of General Koskov, one of the KGB's top men. We think that we have turned him, but he is very cunning and may have fooled us. He may be treacherous, keep a close eye on him at all times.
